Hi, I’m Kylie! The trainer behind Paws in Harmony
Training should work in everyday life, not just during a session.
I focus on keeping things clear, practical, and easy to apply, so you can feel confident working with your dog!
Who I Work With:
If you’re dealing with any of this, I can help:
- Puppies learning the basics
- Loose leash walking and coming when called
- Over-excited or frustrated greeters
- Building focus and engagement
- Behaviour challenges such as reactivity or over-arousal
I believe training should always be a judgement-free experience. Many of the families I work with come to me feeling overwhelmed or unsure where to start, and my goal is to make training feel clear, supportive, and achievable.
If that sounds like you, you’re not alone. I’m here to help!
My Training Approach
I use ethical, science-based training methods that focus on building a strong relationship between you and your dog.
- Positive reinforcement-based
- Practical for real life
- Focused on communication and learning through fun
My goal is to make training feel clear, supportive, and something you can actually use in your day-to-day life.

A little about me
I’m based on the South Shore of Nova Scotia, where I live with my family, my two Australian Shepherds and our horses.
My dogs are first and foremost my pets, but I also have a passion for training and competing in dog sports like Rally Obedience, Agility, and Scent Work. That experience has shaped how I approach training today; focusing on clarity, engagement, and skills that hold up in real life.
When one of my own dogs began to struggle with fear and reactivity, it led me to develop a deeper interest in behaviour work and how to support dogs through those challenges in a way that is both effective and kind.
I know how frustrating it can feel when things aren’t going the way you expected. My goal is to make training feel clear, practical, and something you can use in your day-to-day life.
